Cactus pear?

Hi, i bought one cactus pear at a grocery store and want to know when should i take the seeds from the fruit? And Is it ripe yet it is a redish color? How do i germinate the seeds please tell me how to do this! All of your answers will be appreciated. Thank you Theamaryllisqueen.
