In sedimentary rocks because they are formed from compressed sediments and for a fossil to form it needs to be buried by sediments quickly. It's impossible to find it in metamorphic and igneous because igneous rock is formed from cooled lava and if there were any fossils it would be melted . The metamorphic rock is formed from extreme heat and pressure the fossil would be squeezed and backed so there is nothing left.
