Is shipping on an item I purchased online taxable?

I live in California, and I don't think it is taxable. Other states I know it is taxable. But I am not sure. I bought a couple of items from disneyshopping.com and they first charged one amount on my receipt. But when I got the invoice it was changed. But the tax imposed was based after shipping & handling.
